I absolutely love the rain sensor. It seems frivolous, but it removes a lot of distraction from driving. You know, it never even occured to me to turn the sensitivity down... Shows how smart I am.

I think the rain sensor is nice but I could certainly do without it....altho its neat to watch the wipers go fast when the rain really starts coming down.

My drive this evening was horrible....what usually takes 20 minutes turned into a 1.5 hour drive!!!

I got out of school at 2:20 (a whole 15 minutes early!) and I live almost exactly 9 miles from my school, and it took me about 45 minutes to get home... I sat on the 393 for a while due to an accident, and once that cleared up the traffic was still moving at like 35.... Then all the back roads to my house were, of course, unplowed...

Cj, I think that it is just your 3er. Would never happen in an X5

Ya the storm today was nuts. Traffic was terrible. I left work early 'cause the power supply on my pc at work died. Good thing it decided to die today.

Wow, David, thanks for cheering me up... :p

I miss the X5 SOOOOO MUCH! I'm actually depressed about it! Of course, I'm depressed anyways, but it doesn't help///

I notice that the rain sensor on my '02 X5 only adjusted the wipers to the first "fast" position... The highest speed had to be activated manually. This isn't the case on the '03 330..(that has a lot of zeroes and threes in it..)

I had fun getting home today, I almost got in a few accidents. Going home from school involves going down a REEEEEEEEEEALLLY steep hill, with a stop sign at the end... HDC time... And then A moderately steep hill with a traffic light and massive intersection at the end. And then, of course I've got my 900-foot hill to go up. Turning off one road, I suddenly found myself staring at the snowbank. I unexpectedly did a 3/4 spin. DSC was on, too.

Yet another reason why you need to get your X5 back, CJ!

On a serious note, I did not know one can adjust the sensitivity of the rain sensors... I guess I should RTFM, huh?

Juan

Lol yeah I tried to sell my mom on that, no luck...

Wow, yes, RTFM! What did you think that little twist-knob did?
Don't worry, things like that happen to me all the time. I never bothered to RTFM, I'm just learning as I go.
