Thanks, Now I do get hot air. another question.

If I turn off the automatice recirculated-air control to let fresh outside air to come in, do I still need to turn on the fan? it seems I have to turn on the fan in order to get air to blow out from the vents even when i am driving on the freeway speed.

Sorry if this is a stupid question. since this is my first bimmer or non japanese car.

Not a stupid question at all. I was wondering myself if there was some sort of "natural vent" option without the use of the fan. I mean besides rolling down the windows or opening the sunroof.

I do have the same question too. I push the button which suppose to let fresh air in. but on the freeway, there is no air blowing from the vent. I have to turn on the fan. which is different than my friend's 2002 540i.
