Well said Jay.This topic has come up a few times and we have all said that its purely cosmetic!Now,as you pointed out ,it is practical after all.
I bought one but havent yet installed it but will be doing so soon.

My point is that if you are loading things in the trunk, you will have the lower portion of the trunk opened, which covers up the bumper and thus rendering the bumper protector useless.

Point taken!But I wasnt referring to any post today,I meant members opinions a while ago.
Jay made a good observation.You dont always open the lower part of the trunk when loading items in the trunk.I dont,so that makes at least 2 of us
