A man called Fochesato, who was working for Ferrari, is selling a reprogramming ship service that put your diesel engine up to 50 hp more and 12 nm of torque more !! and what ever is your engine (184 or 218...)

Reprogrammed ship is not detectable by BMW maintenance service....

Some french magazine have test it and apparently that is working fine and fuel consumption is lowered from 0,5 to 1 l / 100 km.

Drawbacks : cost... Around 1500 €...

Does anyone has try a ship or something to boost his diesel X5 ?

I've just had to drive 900km to a bushfire fairly urgently, and did the trip on one tank (exactly 8lt/100km) at an average of exactly 100kph

I'll take some convincing that this isn't one great performing 4WD (or SUV )

No that happens here in Australia 2. When you put the boot in you get black smoke coming out of the exhaust pipes.

Where abouts in australia are you. I used to have an 03 diesel and i could drive up to sydney and back from melb on about 1 tank. Very good consump. And they are quite sharp on the pedal as well.

Do you have a pre-facelift or a after 2003 mod?

A smooth V8 under foot is wonderful thing. But for guilt free performance, economy and reliabilty give me a 3.0 "sooty" anytime. Maybe an extra turbo wouldn't go astray but I would recommend a DPchip Box (Tunit Box) for those who like the forces of gravity. Nice idea for a diesel only section, but this is a very social and informative site and splitting up fuel types will dilute it's special quality. Try the search mode for any new diesel threads. Just my 2 cents anyway.
