3D perspective

Although it is mentioned on a couple of occasions throughout this thread, it seems that the method for entering the hidden menu to change the 3D perspective or isometris of the SATNAV is not. Can someone enlighten me

Thanks to ccfj1, at least that's where I learned it.

3D perspective mode, to enable this, Perspective mode needs to be enabled in 2 places,

1: The hidden setup menu.

Go to the menu screen select set (or settings) and hold menu button for 10 seconds, when the hidden menu appears scroll down untill the perspective mode option is selectable.

2: In the arrow map pointing menu.

Select GPS-Navigation, then Map, then push right button, select Map Positioning and there select Perspectiv

3D perspective

Thanks hypnotiqdmg

I set the view to perspective a few months back but totally forgot how I did it. I don't intend to change it back as I rather like it as it is but its always nice to know how to enter the hidden menu for other reasons

Small thing I discovered while working in trunk.

If you have the hatch open, and don't want the 2 overhead lights to drain the battery: push a pen/screw driver in through the latch. It will simulate a closed hatch, and lights go out.

Weasel will become famous soon enough
Same trick works on all of our latches, there is a hall sensor in the latches used as a door switch.

You can also just push it into the closed position for lights to shut off

all-up/close/lock

I know this is an over-simple response to a complicated question, but:
can the few that have come up with the 'programming' kit return this lock/all-up euro-only remote feature? The key-in-lock thing isn't bad, but the remote would be Greatly appreciated (or do we have a different remote/part# in US market, and need a euro key.. OR would that solve the issue, -buy- a euro key from our friends in EU).
I have not seen an electronic product in recent memory that doesn't have some backroom Firmware whizkid completely recoding the brains of it within a week of its release.

Hi all. I did the tranny trick and wow what a difference.

Another hidden feature is that if one of your angel eyes goes out then the corresponding front indicator light stays illuminated. Not sure why.

ok. EVERYONE has noticed the change temperature thing from F to C but NO ONE has told me how they did it. I changed accidently when trying to do a service reset(which is also acting weird for me to). I spent an hour messing with the MID and found the cluster test i like to call the lexus start up test and found out when my X was made.shows how long i sat there pressing 2 buttons just to get this reading back, and still can;t figure out how to do it.
