What Ride height to ya use daily
It is a Black Sapphire 4.8is, with most options I believe; heated stearing and rear seats, NAV w/ 6disc CD, sport seats, blah, blah.Have had it one full day, and love this new 4x4 Beast Anyway's, my first question is the ride height button, I am not too familiar with this. I think right now it is set in the middle, and the ride seems low, which is cool for the highways I like it, but what about going lower or higher, when and how do I do that ? What is the best for everyday driving Thank's |

the upper and lower settings are for off roading and parking only, the car will automatically raise/lower to the middle setting at 24mph.

Thank's. So to lower at the lowest setting, that can only be done while parked never while driving ? And then highest setting, is that good for deep snow, or is the middle selection enough for most midwest snow, like 12"

you're 4.8 doesnt come with snow tires, but if you were driving over any obstacles, I would definitely raise it up

Self-leveling suspension display
1 Off-Road 2 Standard 3 Access The LEDs not only shows the current ride height, but also indicate changes: >LED on: indicates the vehicle's current ride height >Ride-height LED flashes while the LED for the earlier level remains on: the ride height is being adjusted to a new level, either automatically or in response to driver input at the button. When the suspension reaches the new ride height the flashing LED reverts to continuous operation, and the LED for the earlier level goes out > LED for current ride height flashes for roughly 3 seconds when you press the button: change in ride height is not possible. Raising Available only when the engine is running AND doors are closed. From Standard to Off-Road: > Press button 1 while traveling at a speed of less than approx. 30 mph/ 50 km/h. From Access to Standard: > Press button 1 or > the setting automatically reverts to the standard setting once the vehicle exceeds a speed of approx. 20 mph/35 km/h. Lowering Available with ignition key in position 2 AND doors are closed From Standard to Access: 1. Press button 2 while traveling at less than approx. 50 mph/80 km/h. The system enters its preselection mode. The preselection mode is canceled by pressing button 1 automatically once the vehicle exceeds a speed of approx. 50 mph/80 km/h or approx. 60 seconds after button 2 is pressed 2. Reduce speed to below approx. 15 mph/25 km/h within approx. 60 seconds after pressing button 2. When you press button 2 at speeds below approx. 15 mph/25 km/h the system automatically lowers the vehicle to the Access level. From Off-Road to Standard: > Press button 2 or > automatically once you exceed a speed of approx. 30 mph/50 km/h. Hope this helps. Curtis |

Well just getting the vehicle last night, it come's with the 20"wheels/tires. And the weather here is supposed to get real nasty starting right now, and I let the Wife drive it to her friends house a few miles away ![]() So I guess I should be getting a phone call as soon as she drives like two feet in this ice storm just starting now, thought it was not starting for a few more hours. So can I just get like new tires only on the wheels at like Discount Tire ? This should be interesting for the Wifey, looks like I will be picking her up in her VW Toureg |

If you tow a trailer, and have the electrical conection plugged in, raising and lowering is disabled.
