The DIY link I posted above has pictures showing the location and procedure. Call the dealers in your area for a price on the part. Ask for an intake pulse generator 12147539165. You can check some online parts suppliers as well but I bought mine at the dealer for less (surprise!).
My 330xi was throwing a BMW code 65 which maps to P0340. You got a P0344 which doesn't correspond to a BMW code that I could find. That's the problem with generic OBD readers. I think P0344 may be your code readers interpretation of the BMW code 65.
I was getting "secondary air flow low" codes at the same time but they never came back after I replaced the sensor so I assumed they were a side effect of the faulty sensor. It's conceivable that your other codes are also side effects. I recommend you replace the sensor first to see if the other codes go away. You could also pull one of the plugs for inspection if you suspect they've never been changed.
