Easy Way To Change CCV - 4.4i

hello,

is there an easy way to replace the CCV & PCV on the M62 4.4i motor, without taking the intake and electrical off the top?

thanks,
DoN

I'm not sure if this procedure works for the e53...but there is an easier (approx 10 minute) procedure for the e38/e39 with the M60/M62/M62TU engine.

Go to YouTube and type the following phrase into the search box...this should pull up Edwin's video tutorial (Homerraas is his Dutch YouTube handle): Homerraas BMW PCV swap

There's plenty of room when you remove the window trim shroud piece. I hope you know that piece comes off? I had a coolant hose leak at the back and was ready to remove the intake manifold to reach it before I realized that shroud came out haha.

By shroud do you mean the cabin filter housing?

Us oil-burners have to remove this housing to just do a simple (ha!) air filter element change.
