Side Strips Question?

How can you remove the black side strips in order to have them painted? And in that case, anyone know where you can get those painted?

Not sure, but I believe they stick on with adhesive. If you take them off, I don't think you'd have much luck getting them back on. I'd recommend buying new ones and have them painted before installing them. They're probably not too expensive...

This is correct - I was told by more than one body shop that the strips have to replaced because it takes a lot of force to get them off and they bend out of shape to where they cannot be put back on.

I want to paint them Imola red to match the color of my car, but first I need to figure out a place to get them painted and make sure I can buy new ones to replace in case I screw up.

I was told that once you remove the strips you will need a new set, as the adesive on the old ones will not be good enough to reuse again.
