You can take out certin displays that show up on the instrument cluster's computer. Someone mentioned this not too long ago. I'll see if I can find it....
The distance thing can be annoying especially when it's in the minus. But like I said it can be done just need to do one of the above I mentioned. Both very simple to do, and just keep the ignition off.

Ok here's what's up regarding computer functions and how to show or remove them. Remember I have Navi but I'm sure this works the same way.

You know how you push the button on the stalk to rotate between the time, and all the other functions? Just hold that button in for a while and you should see a change in your display which will show you the options to check off. When you have located this option you can then choose which one's you want to show and which one's to hide.

You just watch someone will remember and tell you which buttons to use without navigation to complete this process. Have fun.

Washers

I believe that the headlight washers only work with the lights on, but only on the 5th pull of the windshield washers.

It is quite simple. With the key in the ignition and in the ON position, push the button at the end of the turn signal and hold it down until the word "PROG" appears on the MID (radio) display. You can set which OBC calculations appears, as well as the order to which they appear.

5 radio station buttons map to the following OBC functions:

1CONSUM2
RANGE
DIST.ARR
SPEED
LIMIT

In the order that you want these functions to appear, press the left side of the button of the corresponding radio button (fuel consumption 1 and fuel consumption 2 are split on the same button), then press SET.

If you don't like the order or you want to add/delete functions, simply hold the button on the turn signal stalk until PROG appears and start over.

Radio MID is shown below set to PROG:

function elimination

I think if you hold down the button on the end of the stem that takes you thru the computer functions for 5 seconds, the functions come up on the display screen with check boxes. I unchecked all but date and time and now don't have to scroll thru all the other stuff.

Aren't those settings for the computer screen under the speedometer?

I remember now that you can hide functions from that display, but from the main display too? I don't think you can on nav... Oh well, you learn something new everyday...
