The dust.

I'm not saying that they're not the best, or that you should change, but it's hard to deny that the OE pads are very dusty, and that to some that might be a good reason to change.

I've only put 1000 miles on my truck, and I think the brakes feel and work great, but my wheels are filthy and most of those miles were on the highway. It doesn't bother me too much, but it's not an unreasonable reason to seek an alternative.

Use anything but OEM and you will be posting in a couple months about problems. Factory is Jurid front and Textar rear. Change out rotors as well Balo or Zimmermann have not made the swith to Chinese blanks yet.

There are about 10 other threads with many opinions, most non factory pad use seems to revolve around low dust rather than manufacturer approval and performance specifications. Rotors should be purchased from the manufacter, stay away from reboxers, they are almost always the cheapest garbage available.
