as a creature of habit, I put my winter setup on both the X and the 335 almost a month ago. too much of a hassle to swap them out again for a few days of enjoyment but I've had the same urge as everyone else.
for those who haven't put on the winters yet, do you swap them yourself or take it someplace? I usually just go to Merchants or Sears who charge me $20.

I do mine myself, just can't see paying someone to do that for me, it is too easy...well if you have the right tools.

I always did the swap myself: a jack, a lug wrench and a torque
wrench. Sometimes, knee pads, a mat to lay/lean on, and a
couple of breaks. Not a very hard job even for this Geezer.

I was watching the weather channel and they were showing pics on Brooklyn NY. I guess Mother Nature doesn't what's going on either. The Cherry Blossom were already blossoming! We are going to have some green grass this year.

I just spoke to a customer a little further south in NJ than I am. She said the Cherry trees in her town were blooming as is her crocus. I swear I see buds on the trees outside my house.

I wanna go back to the regular all-seasons on the X3 but can't because we don't have the extra set of rims delivered with the winter tires I ordered, and it costs $60 to mount the 4 tires. Needless to say, I dont wanna swap them more often than needed.

OT...cherry trees.
No doubt some of them are, and many species of plants are
screwed up/forced by this weird weather.

There is also a species of cherry called the "winter bloomer",
"autumn cherry", etc. It does in fact "bloom", vapidly, all
year round. The Brooklyn Botanical Gardens have some,
from memory.

Oh yea, the animals are all acting wierd too. It's like the entire squirrel, raccoon, and even deer population is coming out. Normally in Dec/Jan they're already hibernating, not all scurrying around. All these animals make it annoying to drive. There's literally roadkill every mile or so here, and avoiding these animals is annoying too.

Spring is in the air.

With the right tools, it does not take more than 30 minutes to swap all 4 wheels. Leave the summer shoes and swap when needed.
