Dead X5??????

Hope you are flatbedding it, not "towing"...
and, find the screw-in drag hook so the
guy can cable you in, if a jump does not work.

Ok everybody, the tow guy came, he jumped the car and it started right up. All I really need is a battery. Thanks MD, you called it, and thanks to everybody else who posted there experience. X5 world "ROCKS"!!!!!

For future reference. If your X5 is completely dead, meaning there is no current through the car, I mean mine was not even clicking. No click? don't worry. You just need a battery. You will need first a jump to see if that does it. If not then you need to flat bed it to BMW.

By the way MD, my battery is the original.... 82k not bad for a battery...

B'Dude...that is very good. Our '01 has the orig., but it's 5 1/2 years
and 54K worth of use. I left it, at our mtn joint, with a Battery Tender
hooked up via a weekly timer; will be interesting to see if it still goes
when we return.

I still rec'd a new batt as they rarely come back to life for long.
