when I was in HS I had an old ass buick, worked two jobs mechanic and barback (bartender as soon as I was 18) I didn't spend anything on it or anything else...when I was 16 I started playing the stock market...first big hit was Qualcomm...then a few good .com purchases...when I graduated HS in 99 my parents gave me my dad's 94 trans am...I paid my way through college... sold the 94 T/A (trans was going out) and bought my 99 trans am in 2001, graduated end of 05 (six years for a four year degree takes a while when you are covering it yourself) bought myself my 4.6is one year old with 6k on it, this year bought my maserati. I have never had a car payment purchased all of my vehicles with cash. If you invest right young (and are kind of lucky) you have a lot more time to make money and much more time to take risks

I currently own four rental properties with one partner, 6 commerical buildings with another partner, add that to my day job and I am bringing in a decent amount a year more then enough to play with and invest for the future
