k im sorry to say, but i find it real immature how some of you 18-21 year old guys put these symbols like ohh hey look at me i got a bmw... they pay for my gas and everything and ive owned 20bmws before this....

Ill admit im 20 going to be 21 on march11th.. but in no way am i going to sit here and be like "yay look at my parents buying me all these bmws and i dont pay for anything"

im not sayin my parents make me pay for my car or my gas.. but i am very thankful for what they give me and in no way can i be like "hah look at me look at me" i might have approached some of ur guys responses in the wrong way but i just got a real negative vibe when i saw some of the younger guys saying stuff.
If anything u guys should be doing this, when talkin about ur parents and them gettin u a car

i know i'm not trying to offend anyone...i just like using emoticons to add some expression and tone to my text...(like using a lot of ........; you can check my posts, i use elipses and emoticons frequently). when i use , i don't really mean na-na-na-na-na-na...it's a gimmick used to set an upbeat tone...i'm just going with the flow of the thread.

I get the same thing...I got pulled over a few weeks ago when I was searching for the insurance card the guy said " I know you are to young for this car so who is it registered to" when I replied it was my company vehicle for a company I owned he got all indignant about how it must be nice to have payments for the rest of my life...the only thing that shut him up is when I told him I paid cash

Prices of used ones in the states make things a little more accessible. Plus we have the whole pay whatever it takes mentality. When I was in high school the parking lot was filled with Jaguars, BMW, and MB's....and that was the student lot. Meanwhile the teachers lot had Hondas and Nissans. When you don't have to pay insurance, costs of living or gas with a higher power subsidizing your payment when you can't quite make it, life gets easier.

44 and loving life! For all of you young X5 owners out there, don't take what you have for granted. Most of you young X owners were given what you have by your parents and didn't have to work or sacrifice like most of us have. Feel fortunate that you get to experience the joys of driving a great car even if you didn't earn it. Sure, it would've been great to have my parents give me any kind of car when I was young but I had to work hard and save just to buy a rust-bucket. After 23 years of serving in the Air Force and gaining that experience I was offered a great civilian job in the anti-terrorism field. Now I feel I really deserved my brand new X and really appreciate what a great car it is. I hope you young owners don't have the attitude that you are better than that person that drives the Chevy Cavalier that earned his car. Just appreciate what you're driving and keep in mind that very few have been given what you were without earning it. I will never take anything in this life for granted, even my X5 and I hope you young owners never do either.

I'm now 34, feel like I earned my X5. Still find it expensive to run and I'm not sure I`ll get another diesel eater like this again but for now, I love the car and the luxury.
