Desperately need parts help!!!

I called the dealers that the Morristown guy said had the part in stock and they all said they did not have it in stock. I wonder who is telling me the correct information?

Is there any sort of provision for CPO owners related to availability of parts? It's not like this part needs to be imported from Germany!?!?!?!

I'm going freakin' mad here... The thought of being without my X5 during the only month that we are likely to get snow is killing me...

Found the longest backordered part at Northwest BMW. I guess my dealer didn't really help out like he said... I think I'll hammer them on the survey.

I checked online store to no avail, but didn't call them. I think I am covered now. I just called my service guy and he was quite amazed that I sourced out the parts HE NEEDS for my car, and he says he would "get on it right away" withhis parts guys. At least this knocks 2 weeks of my repair. I can live with 2 weeks - I can't live with a month...

Thanks again to everyone for their help. It has truly made the difference to me in this situation!

Nevermind the above post...unfortunately the parts guy on the phone had no idea and they won't give me the part because they say it is earmarked for another customer. The wait until 3/5 continues...
