'04 has 28k. Last month one cold morning engine started rough and sservice engine light went on. Took it to the dealer they could not duplicate the problem but checked the bulletin and it sited as possible reason faulty valve "intermed.lever" with whole bunch of gaskets. Got my X back two days ago runs and sounds like new.

While at the dealer put my winters on, replaced peeling steering wheel panel (under warranty), upgraded to the latest NAV. It is such fun driving it I hardly ever take short cuts, hense the miles pile up quickly.

I posted before that I had 46k and my car is running fine. I thought I'd add to that a little. The engine and suspension seem the same as when it was new. However, that's not to say I haven't had any other problems with the car.

Just to mention a couple things, I've had my transmission replaced and my rear diff was leaking oil at one point. Thank goodness it was all under warranty.

Also, the 4.6is is known to have a shift squeal. In addition, some people, myself included, have a strange hesitation during acceleration between 3-4k RPMs. But, this has happened pretty much since day 1. I've learned to just deal with both of these issues.

42k on my 4.6 and knock on wood no problems (except the aftermarket AE's)...I will need new rotors next brake pad change. I also plan on a radiator flush at next oil change and diff along with trans fluid changes at 50k.

Cool Traded Up

I just traded my '01 4.4 with 133,500 miles for an '03 4.6 with 58,000.
What a difference in vehicles. I still have not figured out all the changes between the two but the 4.6 is awsome. They are very addicting.

Thumbs up Update

I have just hit 144,500 miles on the '03 4.6, Battery light came on when getting on highway for road trip this weekend. Made it back home and am looking for Alternator. It has only had a radiator go bad since CPO ran out.

I am looking to get 250,000 miles out of it.
