Are CV boots covered under warranty
Still a lil bit too cold but I'm going to crawl under the car and do a visual nspection.
Just making a list for my *final* visit to the dealer - it will be 4 years in a month from now.

The axles are covered...be careful how you word this issue to your SA. I was able to get mine covered under CPO last year.....they'll try to tell you that the boots are normal wear and tear. See if you can get them to change the entire axle instead of replacing the boot......Phil

My 4/50 will be up next month as well. How do I get the dealer to check the CV boots? Do I have to look at it myself to see if it's worn? Or, what kind of signs of cv boot failure are there?
Is there anything else that is common that I should ask to have done/checked out before my warranty is up? Thanks.

Could anybody else please confirm that CV boots are covered under maintenance warranty. I am out of factory warranty but still have extended maintenance warranty. I am being asked to pay $500 to replace CV boots

hey there, well i got my dealer to cover me under extended warranty, in canada anyways but i posted this before and seems its your luck if you covered, because some are and some arent!
