At the Stealer...

I went to the dealership today and so I thought I would share my experience. I made an appointment because I had the check engine soon light come on and also had some stalling. When I went to drop off my car, I mentioned to the service advisor that my brakes were grinding and continuously squealing. About 4 hours later I get a call from the dealership. The check engine light was nothing more than the gas cap, and the stalling was a one time deal. However, they found that both CV boots had leaked down and had gotten into the brakes causing the grinding and squealing. I was told, that any longer and the leaking of the CV boots would have destroyed my axles?!?! Anyways, I had to pay $600 for new CV boots, and I had to pay for new front pads+rotors. Not to mention the stupid $50 diagnostic fee. In the end I was out $1330 for all the work. At least I got a complimentary wash.
