Replacing a SUV with a sub-compact.....well...you'll save on gas.

Not picking a wrassle or siding with the OP, but if I was
getting nicked a G or so, every few months I wouldn't
care what car it was or what beating I took on it:
it would be gone in a NY minute.

When our '01 is ready for the budget shopper out there
in used car land, I have no freakin idea what we would
get. It may come time for that switch sometime later
this year, when the old ext warranty expires.

I know the difference between the SAV and a compact. I like the easier control of the compact both when driving in traffic and parking. I am planning on moving to California.
