Well it is nice to see that not everybody is abandoning their cherished rides. I guess we will also have all of the people in here that buy the E70 owners used E53s.

I believe there are 10,000 plus members which includes X3/X5. I think it's safe to say of that amount few have opted the e70 route. Maybe what your seeing is a lot of discussion from those who have bought. But it would be nice to do a poll.

I waited until the E70 came out , took a look then went and bought a new 2006.

I just got my E53 this winter, no plans to change for a long time.

The E70, IMHO, follows along with the rest of the new BMW line - oversized and bloated looking. With funny looking headlights.

Having a 2006, I figure it's going to outlast me, so it's in my will to my nephew.

I just picked up my 06 4.8 in November. I did this for a few reasons.

After test driving the 07 4.8 and the 06 4.8 back to back, I liked the overall performance of the 06 better.

I also assumed that the 06 (last production year) would have most of the bugs worked out and that the 07 was just going to be, buggy!

After 5K miles, ZERO complaints with my X thus far, this being my 7th BMW that I had the pleasure of owning.
