Help with hardwire...

I am hardwiring my V1. I am using some of the directions and pics I found using the search. However, I removed the homelink using a butterknife, and I am trying to remove the lights. My question is, where do I put pressure to remove the lights, I do not want to break anything. Any suggestions and advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

take the ground wire, and touch it to other metal pieces, cuz it took me a while to find the right place to ground it, once u found what works, ground it to there

u will see ur V1 turn on when u find the right ground, so have ur key in position1

make SURE you have the proper power wire in order to avoid parasitic drain on the battery, and use the sunroof motor securing bolt directly overhead for the ground. Can't miss it.

Thanks guys. I grounded the wire on the black srew on the right. I also found that I tapped the wire on the lights, not the homelink. Took me almost an hour to untap. I fixed it all, ran the wire through the headliner, and closed it up. It is turning on fine. I will take a pic of my setup. Thanks.

Here are a few pics of my setup. Let me know what you think. I have it right above the rearview. Do you think this will be a problem, blocked view? Also, I noticed that on startup, the lights on the overhead glow red, what does this mean? Does it have a purpose? Thanks. Sorry about the pics, they were taken from my cell.
