Who has wind noise at 80mph or above

It's driving me CRAZY! I bought this truck so that I could do 80+ on my long trips back to see family, but as soon as I hit 80mph the wind noise on the windshield is horrible! What makes it worse is that the cabin is extremely quite, no road noise or any other noises. So when the wind noise starts it's really easy to hear. I've got a 540 that can do 110mph with hardly any wind noise. I Honda Civic that can go 85mph (down a hill) and no wind noise.

Has anyone had this problem and been able to fix it. I searched the forum but only found complaints, no fixes.

Thanks

People have mentioned the wipers possibly causing this before, it has been covered over and over.

Had same problem. Dealer said it was a caused by an abnormal seal termination between windshield and roof. Dealer repaired it at no cost (under warranty that time).

I had this issue on my M3. Examine the rubber seal surrounding the windshield and look for cracks or separation, or anything that air will get caught in at speed. It doesn't have to be big to make a lot of noise - all it has to do is disrupt the flow of air and create turbulence.

After 5 3/4 years with our '01, we've gotten
used to it...sorta.

I personally enjoy the air that seeps/flows in
around the door/front A pillar jamb and around
the HVAC control panel. Very refreshing on
long drives in the winter.

Do some searching, here. The Cleaner had some
posts on his fix as did some others. The prob. is
diagnosis as, from memory, the wind noise does
not emanate from the same cause for all of us.

Bubba, Cooter, and Leroy from Spartenburg had a bad day on the assembly line. Must have been the start of hunting season.

H8Rain: Add loud-ass exhaust. Problem solved.

You're driving a vehicle with the aerodynamics of a brick. Wind noise is a given at 80 MPH.
