Pioneer Avic-Z2 vs Bortmonitor 16:9 CD

Pioneer Avic-Z2 Head Unit - $1,660.00
Bluetooth Module - $97.00
Ipod Module - $50.00
2DIN faceplate - $199.00

Bortmonitor 16:9 CD - $889.00 (does this play mp3's? even)
MK4 GPS DVD CPU - $999.99
Bluetooth Module - $799.00?
AV/TV Integration - ?
Satellite Radio Module - ?

Seems like it will cost me way more to go the OEM route for ultimately less features. Would be nice to retain the onboard vehicle information, steering wheel control integration, and OEM look but how much is it going to cost me for used stuff that I cannot use on anything other than particular BMW models? And how much wiring will I need to do to add all the modules?

Of course I could also go the OEM route peace by peace, since I have an existing MK2 cpu and updated NavTech CD. This installation would be cake at least to start for just replacing my burned out 4:3 head unit.

Also which ones on ebay do not fit the X5, or do they just have different bezels? How to tell? Any advantage to newer monitors over older ones besides the fact they are less used?

So it sounds like it may actually be cheaper and easier to go the OEM route, and the only thing I would be lacking is touch screen, navtraffic, and screen superiority.

I am now leaning towards installing the following:

Pioneer AVIC-D1 - $700.00
Rich's Bezel - $250.00
Bluetooth Module - $97.00
Ipod Module - $50.00

I have already the following:

Infinity REF5761A 6-channel 560W amp
Infinity Perfect 6.1 6.5" Components
Infinity Kappa 62.5i 6.5" 3-way speakers
Infinity Perfect 10 DVC

I am not sure how I will rig everything, I might use the internal amp on the Pioneer unit so I don't have to run a bunch of new wiring. I assume that a good wiring harness is all I need otherwise to tap into the existing speakers or am I being naive?
