E53 preferred over E70

Is it just me or does anyone else prefer the e53 over the new e70. I have owned several e53 and this weekend I drove both the 3.0 and the 4.8 e70 and I didnt like how big the new one drove. I liked all the gadgets (minus I-drive) and the looks-BUT- I much prefer the handling of my 06 and also the seating position and general ergos......is it just me? have i lost it? I wanted to like the e70.
thanks

:xoutpost:

i like the interior of the new e70, but some of the things seem not as good in quality because it feels like there's more plastic.

the e53 is still a very capable car that still looks far more handsome

Although the E53 is a fine sav, you can not judge or appreciate the E70 after only one test drive IMHO.

I don't like the look of e70, not as aggressive as e53, in addition it’s bigger, plus third row seats. I guess I can see where BMW were going with this… e53 (comfort + sport) = e70 (comfort) + E72 (sport).

There was an entire poll about this, use the search feature. I-Drive is easy and used in almost every luxury car now.

Ah, and I'm sure some E70 owner will say that you have E70 envy

The e70 looks nice, but it has that smooth look while the e53 looks bulky with the 87's but it's still a BMW.

the E70 is a nice SUV, the e53 is a nice SAV.
BMW has tuned the E70 more for luxury. Have you seen the commercials touting the E70's cupholders?
Will I want an E70? I probably will esp when they have the diesel and my e53 is on its last legs. That will be a long time from now.

I also like my E53 more than E70. I liked the interior but overall looks are not as agressive as our E53. I would still keep my E53 for a long coming time before doing any switch.
