Door Seal - Anyone replaced??
I noticed that the door seal for my driver's door is getting some holes in it from where my/ others feet have drug across it. Has anyone ever replaced this themselves and if so, how hard was it??

I did the rubber seal along the bottom of the d/door when it fell off. Around $20 and 2 minutes to replace. Just snapped in place.

I need both fronts and they are simple to do. Pull off old one, noting the orientation and where they were positioned, maybe even mark the sill with a permanent marker where the split is in the gasket. Simply replace along the metal body lip by hand. I would use some windex as well so you can move it around a bit for optimum seating.

Hey runningaround:

My 04 X driver's door also sounds different when shutting then others and I always figured it had to do with the key lock mechanism being on that door (on the outside)...it almost sounds just a bit loose when you shut it compared with the other doors just shutting nicely. My dealer didn't notice anything though so maybe it's normal?

True! I always tell guests not to slam the door on the way out and they just look at me weird and SLAM the door anyway.

I did that to a 2006 X5 at the dealer with maybe 12k miles on it and it sounded just like my driver's door when I shut it...so I just took that to mean they all do.
