A/C fan does not work properly

I noticed my A/C was not blowing cold air in my 2003 X5 3.0i I replaced the compressor and the climate control it worked for a few minutes, but soon after the air was not cold enough i checked the condensor fan and noticed it would turn for a few seconds and then stop i tried turning by hand then it started to turn the air was perfect is there anyone that has experience this problem and what is the fix?

Sounds like the fan is shot. New fan needed. Just to be sure try connecting the fan directly to the battery. a number of people have had the fan control circuit relay fail.

I just had mine replaced after I complained of a humming noise coming from the front and no AC, now the AC is working nice and I don’t heard any noise, the noise was from the fan trying to start!
