mirrors won't stay in when folded
I posted before and was informed it's a common problem. Must not be common in Ireland or the dealer never came across it before Thanks, Mark |

One of the mirror motors is bad or encountered glitches. When one side folds and the other doesn't, both unfold. Do you notice any horrible screeching sound when you fold the mirrors?

nothing unusal normal sounds from motors
both mirrors fold in together then fold out again. if i press again the left folds in on its own then folds out. If I press again both fold in and out again

I had this glitch, too. The problem was rectified when the dealer installed new mirrors, nine months ago. No problems since. (I use my folding mirrors every day.)

I belive the way the mirrors work is that they are linked.
See article retro fixing folding mirrors. I guess if there is a problem with one mirror it will effect the other one! I guess this is what you are expriencing. |
