Blueagle:

Page 3 of this thread has a link to the seller I bought my steering wheel from on ebay about $400 shipped to the US..But here's a more recent one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-X...3286.m20.l1116

As for the airbag, you have to decide if you want to "risk" buying one used from ebay or buy it new from a dealer..Price in the US for sport airbag PN 32303447095 is $800.. I bought mine from a guy in the UK used for half that price..

But it's a personal decision on which way you decide to go (used or new).

Airbags are not something to consider lightly.

You can also try our sponsor here in the US, Morristown BMW for a price.

But since you are in the Phillipines, I'm really not sure who to send you to (sorry).

Let me know if you have any other questions..

Good Luck
ED

Thanks ed for the link. I have a brother who is based in the US who will take care of shipping the item to him.

Ed,

can you email me the instructions on how to replace the steering wheel. I am going to change my 4 spoke to the 3 spoke sport sterring wheel. My old wheel and new one are both heated? My email is [email protected]. Thank you so much!

Jordan:
The instructions are on the first page of this site, but here is a link anyway (yes it says it's 7 series, but the facts and procedures are the same): http://www.xoutpost.com/articles/x5/...rofit-e38.html

Assuming you ordered the Sport Heated Steering wheel, then that looks like the right airbag on ebay. There was a guy who sold steering wheels out of Europe but he seems to be missing in action. However, based on the configuration of MY steering wheel, the airbag you asked about looks like it matches mine. BE SURE YOUR STEERING WHEEL looks like MINE !

Good Luck
ED
