Help! Camber Issues
I bought new rear tires recently because the inner walls were shaved to death thanks to the excessive negative camber. I need new front tires too, the inner walls are worn out and I can tell when I'm driving, the car jerks itself left and right even on the slightest imperfections on the road (pruty scary!) So I can go either two ways: 1. buy the dam front camber or 2. re-install stock springs .....what would you all recommend? I love the look of my X5 lowered, but may be willing to give it up for less hassle, what would you do?? how dare they offer a spring kit for the 02-06 and don't even have a camber option for the front or rear!

Sounds to me like the jerky nature of the car alone is reason enough to go back to stock. Safety rules...no matter how good the lowered suspension makes the car look, even if you can afford new tires ever 10k miles.
My rears are already getting excess wear on the inner tire edges with the stock suspension. I can't imagine what lowering will do to those poor rear tires. How many miles are you getting on the set of tires? |

I had my tires for about 10k (Toyo Proxes) I've been told that's normal for performance tires, but in my case the tires are only worn out on the inner sides. As for the jerking of the steering, I'm wondering if that's because my front tires are so badly worn out...I've never really had this issue before.

I have lowered almost every vehicle I've owned and have found if the allignment is not on the car feels off tracks follows ruts etc. try getting a good alignement at a specialist's shop not a tire store I do alignement's at my work and I have found that most tire stores only set the toe and ship it out
