That's the one I didn't think of. It may also mean that he'd be back. But then I imagine even if I chased him down then what? Beat the hell out of someone or risk my own life over paint? Turn him in and watch the court system spit him back on the street. I honestly don't know.

Wow that sucks, sorry to hear that. My X was keyed about a year ago in the parking lot of a movie theatre. My daughter says that's just what 'jealous haters' do, I think she may be right.

Insurance does cover it, but depending on your deductable, may not be worth it. Is the scratch deep? You may be able to buff part of it out making the part that needs to be repainted minimal.

My friends truck was keyed. He had to paint the hole drivers side.

Man that sucks. Earlier this year I saw an E70 from out of town that had been keyed down the driver's side, on the hood, etc. - brand new car!!!

I think I would have had a heart attack!!!

Mine just got keyed, how you justify if panels could be buffed out - repainted or entire panels replaced,

Sorry to hear. If it's just surface scratch, then it can be buffed out. If it's down to bare metal, then it needs to be repainted. Rarely does an entire panel needs replacing unless they dent the heck out of it beyond repair.

Sorry to hear, but you would probably have been better off (financially) if they had broken the window and ran.

I'd be curious to know what kind of bill you get to have the paint fixed.

that sucks man. my cuzins five series was also keyed, and the people carved in the word f*** all over the hood of it. he had the hood repainted.
