Please HELP

For the last hour I´ve been tryng to put the hook in order to use my trailer.
I can´t put the hook in the hole. Is there a special procedure? I´m all sweting from seating there behind the X5 trying to put the hook and i´m geting desperate. My friends are wating for me for more than one hour, and I´m still here trying to install the damn thing. Help please.
