So how much more effective is a KDS BMW Alignement

Is the dealer *KDS* alignment better for cars that have active steering only ?
I've been reading and it seems like the KDS alignment resets the steering angle sensor, etc.

I've always followed the school of it's not the machine, but the operator....and have always had my local Independant do my alignments. I think they use a John Beam Visualizer on the rack.

For those in the know....what's so special about a KDS BMW dealer alignment.
