X5 vs. Mini ... Ouch!

My X5 decided to get up a little close and personal to a Mini while reversing out of a very tight spot this afternoon with the Mini being illegally parked in my blind spot. Doh!

X5 has virtually no damage, looks like cosmetic only, but will have it checked out tomorrow.

Mini definitely got off the worst. Initially I thought the damage under the door handle was due to the door being squeezed against the rear panel, but luckily when I spoke to the owner she said it was caused by another accident she had last week.

How interesting she's had two accidents in two weeks...

I guess it did but the front ones were on continuous beep by the time I got close to the Mini because I had 2 big cars either side (no more than a foot and a half apart on both sides) of me and I was paying more attention to not hitting my nose off the one on my left side as I was turning while reversing and she was slightly less than the X5's length behind me.

Don't know about anyone else, it might be my hearing, but once the front ones are on continuous beep, I can't distinguish between them and the rear ones.

Once I left my details it took me about a 7 point turn to eventually get out

yes, but 3000/5000 = 3/5, so in this example say I attribute a value of 5 to the Mini's damage, I would have expected the X5's damage value to be 3, not 0.001
