Everything is computer controlled, and since you would need to know how to write to the ECU to alter that number, you can't alter it. Also, every time it visited a dealer the mileage was written to the key and the key was read by the dealer, and recorded. Give us your VIN and we might be able to put something together for you.

If you found a low mileage cluster at a BMW wrecking yard, you could replace it as the mileage info resides in a chip in the cluster.I could understand a lowlife scumbag trying to rip off an unsuspecting buyer but, why would you want to be less than truthful to your father?
