Park Distance Control Sensors(PDC)

Hi Guys,

Need your help on this issue - when I start my X5 and go from Park into Reverse my parking light flashes constantly after emmiting a tone for 3 seconds from the front sensor only - I nearly reversed into a wall because I didn't hear the back sensors beeps sound at all?? this happens quite a bit and other times when I'm parknig they seem to work fine - perhaps it's an intermitent fault and I was just wondering does anybody else experience the same if not similiar problems with the parking sensors.

Thanks.

The sensors wouldn't be very clean at the moment considering the weather conditions we are experiencing here today! - but having said that I did get out of the car one day and clean them and I didn't notice any difference........but I'll do it again now and let you know.

the constant tone is to let you know one of your front sensors is not working a garage with BMW diagnostics will tell you which one needs replacing

it doesn't happen all the time it just seems to be an intermittent fault but I will get it checked out with my BMW Dealer.

Thanks.
