Thank you all for your time and great answers. My main concern now is selling it privately. I don't have the title. BMW Financial does. I actually still owe 20k on it! That seems to be much more then a dealer would pay, and approximately what I can get privately. It's been just like an expensive lease for the past 2 years. 2.9% financing was great, but the 72,000 mileage seems to cut the value no matter how nice the X5 is.

I really wouldn't know where to start on how to trust someone's bank check, and how could they trust me for getting the title? That may not be described well, but I'm sure you know what I mean. Is that hassle worth it? It would also seem insane to give the X5 away to a dealer for around 15k, 16k or 17k when I owe 20K!
