I LOVE the heavy steering wheel.

After driving a rental car while traveling and picking up the X at the airport, I always think my front tires are flat!

Meaning it's hard to turn the wheel. Like there isn't as much power steering as other vehicles.

I do! As does my wife. Which is a good thing because it means she wont be driving my X!
She can beat up the Audi all she wants! That ones a lease!

Notice that our X's have so much more driver feedback through the steering wheel as to how the vehicle is handling on the road? I've actually autox my 4.8is a couple times and in the sport mode or manual mode, the steering is even more heavy giving the driver great feedback as to the limits of the cars handling! Our "heavy steering wheel" was engineered to feel this way.

The heavy steering is nice. My old X had the 17's and its steering was lighter than my facelift 4.4i sport. The Facelift car I got has "servotronic" power steering giving lightness @ low speed, and firmness @ high speed. IMO the standard system of v.little assistance is much better....
