Vehicle stall ... How embarrassing

My NAV system has been acting up and sometimes my TV module won't work, sometimes I hear the radio in the middle of the nav directions and the other day it went to the old blue screen.

Well yesterday my nav screen went to the BMW logo and stayed there! I was right in the middle of a drive-thru lane and decided to stop and restart the ignition. Well it came back asking for CODE but the code option was greyed out and I have never set the code before.

After trying to turn the ignition several times, I gave up and the car was dead! I had about 10 cars behind me all honking. Finally I had to get out and push it out of the way. Of course the steering was so stiff it woundn't even turn. I let it sit for 15mins and tried again and it started! These electronics are driving me crazy!!
