IIRC, the Aux Jack kit uses the same connection to the OBM that the CD changer uses - correct? I've got the CD changer, so I'd have to disconnect it for the factory Aux kit to work...

Nope...the AUX kit can work in conjuction with your CD changer. I have both on my X.

the plug for the aux input cable is behind the business cd player? i plugged it in and works ok. now routing the cable into ashtray! i dont smoke anyway and dont want plug in glovebox. easy to do but instuction for connecting wiring wasn't as specific as i would have wanted, guess there are many types of stereos on these.
