height of 4.6is springs compared to regular 4.4i?

I searched, but couldn't find the answer to this question. Are the front springs on the 4.6is shorter than the standard suspension on a 4.4i? If so, how much lower?

Thanks,

-Paul

I am pretty sure that all 4.6is come with air suspension front and back.

no 4.6is X5s were rear air suspension only, the 04+ X5s had the option of full air

I read in Bimmer magazine that the suspension of the 4.6is was indentical to the 4.4i sport. But I cannot verify the accuracy of this statement.

Is the height of the 4.4i sport lower than the regular 4.4i? If so, by how much?

I don't imagine so b/c the ground clearance is the same, just different stiffness, the full air suspension is definitely lower than the std. suspension though

The 4.6 uses 20" wheels. I'm sure they would've lowered the susp a little to compensate.

I have a 2002 4.4i with front/rear air suspension. Most members here believe full suspension is on 2004> X5's... but then why do I have it? Was this an option? (I bought the X cpo)
