What's up with all these negative posts? Is this

because he said he bought a 4.8is alpina edition? Give the guy a chance!

I think that it's been "agreed" that Alpina did not produce E53's but he might still have some really interesting mods!!!

I don't think the post are negative...everyone really wants to the what he is talking about. We are also trying to save him money if the seller is trying to misrepresent a few mods as factory set up. Why pay a grip for that.....Phil

You are referring to vehicles manufactured by Alpina, which is a different thing than vehicles manufactured by BMW and modified by BMW or others with Alpina components. Sort of like the Neiman-Marcus 6; nobody claimed that Neiman-Marcus made it, but you can't deny its existence.

It also doesn't matter what the dealer sold it for, or what the OP paid for it. That is between him and the dealer, as he reportedly has purchased it. The one I posted the picture of can be seen on the net here:

Guys i dont think your posts are negative, i apreciate your posts, and thanks for it, thats the reason i posted it in a first place to get a feedback, i'am a big guy i can handle it, anyway u look at it, it was a very good price for 05 4.8is, so its ok, will see how much alpina is in this X.

Jigaro, congrats on your new ride! You are getting a very unique vehicle especially with the 20" Alpina wheels.

Guys, don't mistake this BMW vehicle that has been given Alpina wheels and a few add-ons from the real Alpinas that modify BMW's such as the Alpina 7 or the Alpina Z8 from their factory. Regardless this "Alpina-edition" X5 is still very, very unique. Like the rest of you, I can't wait to see pics.

Thnx i apreciate it, to be honest with you, when i saw it i did not see anything special on it, except the alpina badges, and front bumper, eventhought the 20 rims are ones from 4.8is its still got alpina badges and also interior is very different i must say, not sure about the engine though, overall i think it stands out.

Interesting it didn't have Alpina wheels but nonetheless I agree that it will stand out.

u guys, i must thank you for being fair and supportive. I do not want to anoye anyone, i just was trying to get info about my car. As i sayd before th wrost i can get is normal 4.8is which is stll pretty good
