OP: you mentioned that it was gray. Have you seen pix of it yet? I've never bought a used car sight unseen. Hopefully, you can decline if it isn't everything you want it to be?

Is it too much hussle to remove it?
I have no experiemce with removing things myself, and i'am just wondering if i have to take it to the dealer, i just wount be able to stand the trailor hitch
No desrespect to people who have it, i just dont need it, and i dont like the look.

no disrespect jigaro but we gotta see more photos from Fullhouse....!

Seems like he's done his homework and appreciates his car as an enthusiast would. Kudos Fullhouse.

(Besides, his spelling is much better too )

Other content online simply vaguely refers to Alpina having helped to develop the 4.6is and 4.8is engines.

I must stress I cannot testify the entire accuracy of this info as based on reading various 3rd party posts/articles.

No doubt this is not new info to those in the know, however, it may be of interest to someone.

I would welcome seeing a definitive authoratitive article on this writen by someone who was or is involved with BMW &/or Alpina.
For sure they did the 4.6is engine work, but the 4.8is is just a valvetronic N62 carryover from the 7'er. I dont think alpina did anything else (suspension, etc...), just the engine on the 4.6is.

To remove hitch you will need the metal bumper interior and some other little parts. You can do it yourself. I have all the parts you need as I added the hitch. PM me when ready.

Hello guys, i have finally picked up my 4.8is yesturday.
Jesus christ, what an experience!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's a beast, the roar of the engine is sick,
No offence to anyone, i did have 4.6is before, but this is a totally different experience, i have already intalled aluminum running boards, thats the only mod it needed.
Now i have a question my friends.
When i start the engine, info center tells me "SELF LEVEL SUSP INACT"
How serious is this? If anyone has had an experience with it before please give me some ideas.
Ofcourse the height control does not work, it does not lower the car and push it up.
I'am going to the dealer tomorrow will see.
Any experiences with self level system?
