hi how can I tell what bhp is on my diesel 3ltr sport 2002 . I have been told there are two cheers.

184 bhp is how much its supposed to be..... dynoo it if you want to find out exact hp to the wheel

Agree on 184bhp.
Changed to 218 on engine M57N-TU which was fitted to cars manufactured after 10/2003 I think...

According to BMW Resources, for 3.0D

Engine M57 (2926cc)
135 kW (186 hp) at 4000 rpm and 410 N·m (302 ft·lbf) at 2000-3000 rpm

Engine M57TU (2993cc)
160 kW (218 hp) at 4000 rpm and 500 N·m (369 ft·lbf) at 2000-2750 rpm

all I know it is quick for a diesel especially when it"s in sport mode
