Getting Frozen door latch fixed...
The dealer said, it would cost $429 including parts and labor...It is a new insulated part supposedly that won't freeze like the original part. Nothing more embarrassing then having to crawl in the drivers seat from the passenger side when you're trying to go somewhere in your BMW. Enough is enough! |

A little less embarrassing method to get in is to lower your windows with the key and then to open the door from the inside handle. I've had this problem and found this to be an easier method until I get my door handle repaired/replaced.

I've had the problem of frozen windows also, so I'll open the rear door and pull on the front door handle from the inside. Still embarrassing but at least you won't get snow and dirt all over the passenger seat. The only caveat is the door lock will get stuck open occasionally if you open it from the interior and you won't be able to close the door. That's also a possiblity if you open the passenger door normally when it's extremely cold. Once again speaking from experience.
