ALL, I have a 03 e53 4.6 with an OEM radio / nav console. I want to swap my existing unit (some pixels missing on the screen, minor loss of some functionality) for a similar OEM unit I bought – here’s my Q - will this as easy as it sounds swap? From my numerous readings from these archives and other bimmer forums, there is no op code to worry about – thoughts everyone / anyone?
Being a purist, I’m not after “new” bells and whistles, just after a solid functioning unit.

(Terminator, you seem to be the site "yoda" so I'm hoping you’ll pipe in)

If you are referring to swapping the head unit with 16:9 screen, yes, it is plug and play, 10 minute job.
