gas is still cheap though, have you seen what Europe has to pay for gas for the last 8 years or so?

I thnk I will try the diet thing and maybe it will improve the gas mileage...Ive already started eating more veggies and stopped drinking soda... Ill report back to let u guyz know if this helps...

Two things that will help more than you think

1. Plan your route. Don't run back and forth across town more than once - think like a schoolbus driver does.

2. Keep the average speed function of the OBC displayed. Obviously stop&go traffic will decrease the mph so by coasting more and using the brakes less your average will stay higher.

Don't buy a SUV when you don't need one. If you spend the majority of your time driving by yourself or with your wife/spouse/other..you didn't need a 4000lb+ SUV to start with.

Get a manual transmission instead of an auto if possible.

Maintain speed.

Oh if only public transportation was REALLY available.
