The name of the warranty and the re-insurer that backs it, would be helpful; you could do a quick
GOOG on that co. name and see what kind of info pops up. That "catch" of the car has to be "under 35k", (miles I assume), is pretty damn unusual, as the mileage is not close to expiration for the oem BMW warranty, unless the "time" via delivery date is about to expire. Most 3rd party warranties prefer your current orig. oem warranty to still be in effect or else there is an upcharge; requiring a car to be at "35K or less" is damn weird on a 50K warranty, imo. [/quote] I was able to get more info.... The warranty company is JM&A(aka Fidelity Warranty Services). They are the insurers behind many OEM extended warranties according to some Google searches. I questioned the dealer about the 35k mileage issue. He stated that he was incorrect in telling me that. The price goes up considerably once you hit 35k miles. Come to find out he was the "new" guy. I finally spoke to the Finance guy and Service Manager to get all the details I needed. |
