Inter-cooler for Supercharged E53

Hey guys & gals,

I know there are only a few of us running superchargers on our E53's. However, I'm looking at adding an inter-cooler to my system. Has anyone done a similar set up? If so how did it run, was it worth it? Has anyone worked with this company www.pwr-performance.com in the past?!

I'm just starting to build my knowledge when it comes to inter-coolers, any feedback would be appreciated!

Thanks,

Big fish

How much boost do you plan on running? If its not that much, then you wont need an intercooler...

Thanks for the input, currently running 8.5lbs, what does the boost level have to do with cooling down the compressed air running into the intake?

I think you can intercool it no matter how much boost you're running. But if you do intercool it you can run more boost then 8.5psi and your engine will be safe..Thats why people usually get intercoolers, (usually front mount intercooler's for cars, not sure on the X) so they can run more psi and keep the engine cool and safe. Like 18psi on properly tuned up imports. Of course at that much boost alot of the engine internals would be replaced by more durable components then stock, and then of course big brake kits, and suspension kits to adequately handle the added power.
