Problems with the new X5, insight appreciated
I have a 2005 X5 4.4i, sport, premium, 132's, etc. with 1150 miles on it. Although I am pretty much thrilled with the car, it has 3 issues that are really obnoxious:
(1) When backing up and turning the wheel you get a "clunk" from the front end pretty frequently. This seems to be an issue for a few folks here. (2) About once a week, when I go to unlock the car with the remote, the alarm goes off and will not shut off for about 30 seconds no matter what I do. Even starting the car does nothing to stop the infernal racket. (3) The stereo (DSP & NAV) seems great but the some of the interior bits seem to resonate on certain songs making for rattling and buzzing from various corners of the car. Strangely, this is not necessarily a function of volume or particularly bass-heavy music--one never knows what song will set it off. Does anyone have any insight as to whether these are common issues, how to make sure the dealer understands the problem (i.e. is there a TSB on any of this I can just hand the SA to ensure I don't get the "we couldn't reproduce it" or "that's normal" response) Thanks.
